Laura came across this quote and showed it to me today. I found it unique and thought I would share it.
It’s by a man named Girachino Rossini, the Italian composer who wrote the William Tell opera, (yes, the William Tell overture was part of this opera). Now that you know who I am talking about here is the quote….
“I know of no more admirable occupation than eating.”
Care to know a little more background? Rossini was a wealthy man and composed very little for the last 40 years of his life. But it is said that he enjoyed cooking, and inventing new dishes, and that he hosted fancy dinner parties.
Anyway, this quote reminded me of a few people I know…
Thanks for sharing, Laura!
