What better way to reflect on the real reason we celebrate Christmas than to attend one Handel’s masterpieces, Messiah. Better yet, it was a sing-along. The auditorium was divided in to 4 sections, one for each part. So, I sat in the altos, and did a whole of of sight reading. But it’s easier when you are surrounded by others singing the same part.
Singing the Messiah was a great reminder of God’s plan to send a Savior. From prophecies given in the Old Testament, to His coming to earth, to ministry, to His rejection, betrayal, and death, His resurrection and the familiar “Hallelujah” chorus, and then to His second coming. Ending with “Worthy is the Lamb”, and 6 pages of “Amen”! But after all those wonderfully reminders of who Christ is and what He has done, how can you do anything but wholeheartedly agree with it, ‘Amen, so be it’.

The sing-along was a great way to end the semester! The Amens are one of my favorite parts! :-D
